Artificial Intelligence

There are many ways to create images using artificial intelligence. Some common approaches include:

Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs): These are neural networks that consist of two parts: a generator network and a discriminator network. The generator network tries to create images that are realistic and similar to a training dataset, while the discriminator network tries to distinguish between real and generated images. The two networks are trained together in a way that allows the generator to improve its ability to create realistic images over time.

Style Transfer: This is a technique that allows you to transfer the style of one image onto the content of another image. For example, you could use style transfer to make a photo of a landscape look like it was painted by Vincent van Gogh.

Image Synthesis: This is the process of creating new images from scratch using artificial intelligence. This can be done using a variety of techniques, such as GANs or Variational Autoencoders (VAEs).

Overall, creating images using artificial intelligence can be a complex and time-consuming process, but it can also be very rewarding and produce results that would be difficult or impossible to achieve using traditional methods.

I've been experimenting with OpenAI to create new works of art. I use AI to initiate the process of creating a digital painting, and then I make edits and adjustments using Adobe Photoshop. The resolution needs to be improved in Photoshop and using "Topaz Sharpen AI" helps improve the images. OpenAI generates images at 1024x1024 pixels, which needs to be at least 4 time better to give a decent resolution on an 8x10" print. I'm sure it won't be long (probably within the year 2023, that OpenAI will be able to generate photo quality images that are about 4 times the current resolution. Then all photos can be digitally adjusted and improved for the best possible outcome in high quality prints of our artwork. Computers are wonderful tools, and OpenAI is an exciting new tool we are just now beginning to use for creating new, high-quality works of art. This is the beginning of a new age.
